Job Title

A critical role exists for a skilled professional to manage and implement strategies ensuring effective emergency response.

About the Job

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to ensure effective response to various emergencies, such as pandemics/IT downtime etc. Approximately 20% of their time will be dedicated to supporting Ministry of Health (MOH) Emergency Preparedness (EP) related projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Management of EP Equipment:
    • Responsible for equipment and consumables budget planning and procurement
    • Oversee the planning and execution of equipment purchases and claims
    • Work with Biomedical Equipment Department to maintain asset tracking for ownership, reporting, maintenance, and deployment
    • Review hospital crisis equipment requirements
    • Point of Contact for MOH audit and report for EP equipment
  • Review Hospital's Emergency Response Plan and Coordinate Exercises:
    • Engage stakeholders in review of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
    • Coordinate and integrate SOPs
    • Plan and conduct monthly fleet test exercises
    • Plan and organize all EP exercises and drills per yearly workplan
  • Planning for Integrated General Hospital (IGH):
    • Participate in IGH Operations Centre workshop and ensure that all MCI/CE/NE infrastructure requirements are catered for in IGH
    • Coordinate with medical planners, campus planning team, and users on the ground for discussions and come up with required plans
    • Prepare list of EP items required for IGH
    • Work on procurement timeline and ensure all procurements are completed per timeline
  • Other EP Activities:
    • Provide secretariat support to quarterly Business Continuity Management Steering Committee meeting
    • Support MOH EP related projects
    Requirements
    • Bachelor's Degree in any discipline
    • Minimum 3 years' work experience in healthcare industry
    • Healthcare operational experience is advantageous, although not necessary
    • Analytical, quantitative, and strong communication skills (written and verbal)
    • Proficient in Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint
    • Ability to multi-task and work under tight timelines
    • Good analytical and organizational skills
    • Excellent communication, problem-solving, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
