Library Support Specialist

  • We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Library Support Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for the daily operations and administration of our school library.">
  • You will catalogue and maintain the integrity of bibliographic records, organise and maintain library collections, and assist students and teachers with resource inquiries.">
  • Your key responsibilities will include:">
  1. ">
  2. Maintaining a conducive library environment and implementing library policies and procedures.">
  3. Using our library system to maintain accurate records of students' and teachers' information, including borrowing history and preferences.">
  4. Tracking the status and location of library collections to facilitate efficient retrieval and management.">
  5. Promoting new acquisitions by creating promotional displays and features for new arrivals.">
  6. Collaborating with stakeholders to conduct regular reviews of the collection and evaluate its relevance and currency.">
  7. Procuring new library resources that align with curriculum requirements, educational trends, and student interests.">
  8. Supporting library programmes and initiatives, and attending training courses as assigned.">
  9. Performing other duties as required.">

Requirements:

  • ">
  • Min. GCE 'O'/'A' Level / ITE / NITEC certificate">
  • 1 to 3 years of relevant work experience in related administrative fields">
  • Good customer service skills">
  • Strong organisational skills with a strong orientation for details">
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English">
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment">
  • Desire to learn about Autism and the passion to help special needs students">
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications">
