About the Role

This exciting opportunity seeks a diligent and detail-oriented Research Assistant to support a research program focused on evaluating methodologies for integrating probabilistic sea level rise projections into multi-hazard coastal risk models.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Principal Investigator to conduct comprehensive literature reviews, synthesize technical reports, and analyze data using statistical tools such as R, Python, or MATLAB.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Literature searches and manuscript preparation
  • Data collection using mixed methodology
  • Statistical analyses and evidence synthesis
  • Drafting of progress reports and final research documents

In addition to excellent analytical and communication skills, the ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of coastal hazards, particularly sea level rise, storm surge, and tsunami processes. A Bachelor's degree in geoscience, coastal engineering, environmental science, statistics, or a related quantitative field is required.
