Key Challenges

Our organization seeks a seasoned Site Reliability Engineer to oversee the deployment and operation of an entire government-run platform.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain robust infrastructure utilizing AWS and Kubernetes solutions, ensuring high availability and efficiency of our runtime environment.
  • Develop automation scripts using CI/CD pipelines to minimize manual intervention, thereby improving operational productivity and reducing repetitive tasks.
  • Implement real-time observability tools around key performance indicators (latency, traffic, errors, saturation) for proactive system health assessments and self-remediation.
  • Collaborate with dedicated security teams to implement secure and compliant solutions that align with industry standards.
  • Conduct thorough root cause analysis to identify and resolve system bottlenecks and operational issues, and define trackable KPIs (e.g., mean time to recovery, system uptime, cost efficiency).
  • Act as a technical advisor to help tenants understand containerization best practices and cloud-native deployments, participating in strategic initiatives to enhance platform scalability and performance.

 

Essential Qualifications
  • At least 4 years of experience in relevant positions
  • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields (or equivalent experience)
  • Proven track record as a Site Reliability Engineer or similar roles, with expertise in containerization, orchestration, and cloud-native technologies
  • Strong understanding of networking, security, and storage fundamentals in both AWS and Kubernetes environments
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes integration with AWS services (e.g., Secrets Manager, Load Balancers), Terraform, and automation scripting (Go, Python, Bash, etc.)
  • Able to write automated tests or perform thorough manual testing for scripts, ensuring reliability and effectiveness of automated solutions
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools (GitLab CI/CD, ArgoCD) and version control systems (Git)
  • Experience with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack) and defining service level objectives (SLOs)
