Job Title: Cloud Infrastructure Specialist

The role of a Cloud Infrastructure Specialist involves designing and managing cloud infrastructure on Amazon Web Services (AWS). This position requires expertise in Windows Server environments, where the primary focus will be on configuring, hardening, and managing Windows Server 2022, 2019, and 2016 in a cloud-native environment.

The successful candidate will work closely with our team to integrate enterprise-level observability agents, endpoint protection tools, and compliance agents as part of image builds. Additionally, they will apply industry benchmarks for Windows operating systems and ensure that AMIs are hardened and validated against such benchmarks.

This role includes responsibilities such as:

  • Windows Expertise on AWS: Configure, harden, and manage Windows Server 2022, 2019, and 2016 in a cloud-native environment.
  • AMI Factory Management: Build, maintain, and version compliant Windows AMIs at scale using automated pipelines.
  • Security and Compliance Integration: Integrate enterprise observability agents, endpoint protection tools, and compliance agents as part of image builds.
  • Industry Benchmarking: Apply CIS Benchmarks for Windows operating systems and ensure that AMIs are hardened and validated against such benchmarks.
  • MS SQL Standard Builds: Package and maintain MS SQL Server configurations as part of standard image builds.
  • Automation & Infrastructure as Code: Utilize automation tools like git, Ansible, CloudFormation, PowerShell, AWS SSM, and Terraform to support AMI lifecycle management.
  • Governance & Documentation: Document standard build processes, hardening steps, and compliance checkpoints to support audit and operational readiness.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in configuring, hardening, and managing Windows Server 2022, 2019, and 2016 in a cloud-native environment.
  • Hands-on experience with automated AMI pipeline management.
  • Familiarity with applying CIS Benchmarks for Windows operating systems.
  • Exposure to packaging and maintaining MS SQL Server configurations.
  • Strong experience with automation tools like git, Ansible, CloudFormation, PowerShell, AWS SSM, and Terraform.
  • Ability to document standard build processes, hardening steps, and compliance checkpoints.
