Environmental, Safety and Health Manager

This role is responsible for ensuring environmental, safety and health compliance by aligning the plant's operations with regulatory requirements. The Environmental, Safety and Health (ESH) Manager will implement and maintain ESH programs, policies and procedures to minimize environmental impact, prevent accidents and promote a safe and healthy work environment.

About this role:
  • The primary responsibility of the ESH Manager is to ensure that the plant operates in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Implement and maintain ESH programs, policies and procedures to minimize environmental impact and prevent accidents.
  • Promote a safe and healthy work environment for employees.
Key responsibilities:
  1. Ensure Plant Process Safety Updates and Manage MHI, Major Hazard Installation Safety Case.
  2. Lead Safety Case related items according to MHI Regulations.
  3. Oversee and manage the budget and expenditure for ESH.
  4. Approve the purchase of consumables and equipment.
  5. Ensure the Company complies with Legal, regulatory and other stakeholders requirements.
  6. Support major shutdown activities.
  7. Manage legal register as part of the monitoring of compliance.
  8. Arrange and monitor annual assessments stacks, IHM, Noise assessments.
  9. Arrange health assessments for employees.
  10. Lead EAI and Risk assessment program for all process-related modifications.
  11. Manage ESH Related Work Procedure SOP ad hoc task as assigned.
  12. Develop review and update related procedures SOPs.
  13. Manage communication with internal external stakeholders on ESH matters.
  14. Communicate to authorities for licensing regime for modificationincrease hazardous substance quantity.
  15. Incident Investigation Non-Conformance reporting to authorities.
  16. Manage oversee all ESH training in the Company.
  17. Arrange external internal training related to ESH.
  18. Responsible for staff development training to ensure optimal competency.
  19. Conduct regular coaching feedback sessions with employees.
  20. Monitor the performance of employees.
Requirements:
  • Degree in ESH Chemical Engineering or equivalent is must.
  • Level C WSH competency certification.
  • Certified in confine space assessor WAH Assessor.
  • Certified in Biz Safe level 2.
  • Min 5 years of relevant working experience with at least 3 years in a similar capacity.
  • Vendor Management.
  • ISO Management.
  • Experience liaising with government authorities.
  • Intermediate MS Office.
  • People Management to manage the ESH team to achieve the Section KPIs constantly.
  • Knowledge of ISO 45000 SS651 14000.
  • Ability to conduct risk assessment EAI assessment.
  • Ability to lead in accident investigation.
  • Has working knowledge of ACTA framework.
  • Planning Organizational skills and plan organize the assignment of tasks deployment of resources.
  • Good written spoken communication skills.
  • Passionate with WSH requirements.
  • Person with integrity.
  • Firm assertive when handling issues employees.
  • Flexible willing to go for extra mile.
