Job Title: Senior Air Export Specialist

 

Role Summary:

This role is focused on providing exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth handling of all air export shipments, particularly in the areas of aviation and time-critical cargo.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with internal and external departments to guarantee timely and efficient handling of all air export shipments.
  • Liaise with shippers, consignees, and customers to ensure all necessary documentation is in order.
  • Follow up with customers on cargo readiness and required documentation.
  • Ensure all external queries are acknowledged promptly, while internal emails are responded to within stipulated timeframes.
  • Liaise with airlines for cargo space arrangements and confirm lead times are met.
  • Request assistance from the pricing team for ad-hoc rates when needed.
  • Process shipping documents (AWB).
  • Send pre-advice to consignees and customers after finalizing shipping documents.
  • Collaborate with warehouse personnel regarding cargo handling and discrepancies.
  • Verify that all shipments are lodged and pre-alerts sent via relevant portals correctly.
  • Update uplift information for certain projects.
  • Ensure a proper shift handover.
  • Perform other general administrative duties as assigned by management or HOD.

 

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Diploma/NITEC in Aviation/Airport Operations or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proven team player with good interpersonal skills.
