Heavy Vehicle Maintenance Specialist

Job Summary:

As a Heavy Vehicle Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and servicing of cranes and heavy vehicles.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance & Repair: Perform routine maintenance and servicing of cranes and heavy vehicles (prime mover, lorry crane, mobile cranes, crawler crane, etc.). Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults. Replace worn-out or damaged components such as hydraulic pumps, engines, and cables.
  • Troubleshoot & Diagnostics: Identify operational issues and breakdown causes. Use diagnostic tools and manuals to pinpoint malfunctions. Conduct on-site emergency repairs when necessary.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure all repairs follow manufacturer guidelines and industry safety regulations. Conduct safety checks and inspections to prevent equipment failure.
  • Fieldwork & Site Support: Travel to job sites to perform maintenance and emergency repairs. Work closely with crane operators and site managers to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements:

  • At least 3–5 years of hands-on experience in crane and heavy vehicles maintenance and repair.
  • Familiarity with hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems in cranes and heavy vehicles.
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, engines, transmissions, and electrical circuits in cranes.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair faults using diagnostic tools and software.
  • Willingness to travel to job sites for on-site repairs.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills to interact with crane operators and supervisors.
  • A valid driver's license (preferred for on-site repairs).
