Tooling Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Tooling Engineer to join our team.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with us as a Tooling Engineer, providing technical tooling support to achieve technical and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with the team of toolmakers in achieving goals and objectives.
  • Provide technical tooling support to the T&D and production line.
  • Technical support to tool designing and sales in meeting customers' requirements.
  • SUPPORT TOOLING SUPERVISOR TO ENSURE TOOL READINESS TO SUPPORT PRODUCTION.
  • Liaise with production and planner to set priority schedule based on tooling status.
  • Liaise with Design department on tool improvement for greater output and efficiency.
  • Lead the tooling team in problem-solving, identification of problems & analysis of root cause.
  • Lead/support continuous improvements in tool/work processes.
  • Work closely with toolroom on machining needs for tooling modification and improvement program.
  • Assist to manage the overall tooling group to ensure efficient allocation of resources and as well as meeting the needs of the department.
  • Train, guide and counsel toolmakers.
  • Act on behalf of the Principal Engineer in his absence.
  • Any other duties as may be assigned by superior and/or management.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Diploma in Precision Engineering.
  • Technical qualification in Tool & Die making.
