Manufacturing Process Engineer

The role of a manufacturing process engineer is pivotal in ensuring the efficiency, quality, and productivity of production processes. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes to drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyzing existing manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Designing, developing, and implementing new manufacturing processes or process improvements to optimize production operations.
  • Conducting feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses to evaluate proposed process changes or investments in new equipment or technologies.
  • Developing process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and process flowcharts, to ensure consistent execution of manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborating with manufacturing teams to ensure that process changes meet product specifications and quality standards.
  • Performing root cause analysis and troubleshooting to address process-related issues or deviations from quality targets.
  • Utilizing statistical methods and data analysis techniques to monitor process performance, identify trends, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Leading cross-functional teams to implement process improvement projects, coordinating activities and resources to achieve project objectives on time and within budget.
  • Providing technical support and training to production personnel to ensure understanding and adherence to new or modified processes.

Requirements:

  • Educational Qualifications: Diploma in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, process improvement methodologies (such as Lean and Six Sigma), and quality management systems (e.g., ISO standards).
  • Strong knowledge of stamping processes, die design, tooling, and material selection.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and statistical tools for process optimization.
  • Proficiency in manufacturing equipment and technology evaluation and implementation.
  • Attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to product quality and process efficiency.
  • Lead a team with professionalism & integrity. Demonstrate maturity, tactfulness, and resourcefulness. Display positive attitude, honesty, impartiality, meticulousness, and openness. Approachable & good mentoring skills.
