Application Support Specialist

Piller SEA is actively seeking a motivated and detail-oriented professional to support our regional sales team in Singapore. In this key role, you will be responsible for preparing technical proposals and quotations, managing customer inquiries, and providing application support across Southeast Asia (SEA), Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan.


The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical engineering background and the ability to communicate effectively with both internal teams and external clients, including Japanese customers.

Depending on your strengths and career aspirations, you can grow within Piller as either a Sales Engineer in the Sales Department or as a Technical Expert in the Application Engineering Department.


Key Responsibilities:
  1. Prepare technical and commercial quotations in response to sales inquiries from SEA, Japan, Korea, and Taiwan
  2. Collaborate closely with the regional sales team to understand customer requirements and deliver tailored technical support
  3. Facilitate technical discussions with Japanese clients, acting as a bridge between the customer, our Japanese Agent and Piller's engineering team
  4. Assist in the preparation of product specifications, compliance documentation, and application data
  5. Provide technical clarification and resolve issues during pre-sales stage
  6. Coordinate with both the local sales team and global application engineering team to ensure timely and accurate proposal submissions

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline
  • 2–5 years of experience in application engineering, technical support, or pre-sales in an industrial or technical environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a high level of professionalism
  • Proficiency in English; Japanese language skills are a strong advantage (written and/or spoken)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team
  • Familiarity with industrial equipment, machinery, or process systems is preferred
  • Willingness to travel internationally, particularly to Japan, as part of the role
