Job Title: Assistant Manager, ComplianceDescription:

The Assistant Manager, Compliance role involves overseeing the implementation and maintenance of compliance policies and procedures across the organization. This includes ensuring adherence to all relevant legislative and regulatory requirements, reviewing and enhancing existing policies, and liaising with government authorities.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing existing compliance policies and procedures to identify areas of vulnerability and proposing control measures.
  • Supervising daily submissions for compliance with legislative requirements.
  • Acting as the primary contact point for government authorities and managing/responding to their requests.
  • Providing advice to business units on regulatory matters.
  • Updating business units on new regulatory requirements and developing training materials.
  • Working with business units to ensure compliance with all relevant legislative requirements.
  • Enhancing processes and bridging compliance gaps with controls and preventive measures.
  • Maintaining compliance training status of respective business units.
  • Establishing or updating departmental SOPs, work guides, templates, checklists, etc.
  • Assisting in implementing compliance initiatives.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline and at least 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in Audit, Internal Audit, Compliance, Finance, or Law within a regulated industry. You must also have strong problem-solving skills, proficiency in business writing, and effective communication skills.
