Senior Communications Specialist

  • We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Communications Specialist to lead our communications activities and provide strategic guidance to internal stakeholders.
  • The successful candidate will have a strong track record of developing effective media content, including key messages and storylines, that resonate with diverse audiences.
  • As the primary communications liaison, you will work closely with senior leaders, including the President and Vice President (Academic) & Provost, to ensure seamless communication across various platforms.
  • In addition to your technical expertise, you will possess excellent interpersonal and project management skills, enabling you to build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy that aligns with our organizational goals and objectives.
  2. Create engaging media content, including key messages, storylines, and visual materials, that effectively convey our message and resonate with diverse audiences.
  3. Serve as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders, providing strategic guidance and support on communications-related matters.
  4. Collaborate with senior leaders and other departments to ensure seamless communication across various platforms and achieve organizational objectives.
  5. Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and deadlines to meet demanding timelines and deliver high-quality results.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in communications or a related field, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing effective communications strategies that drive business results.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt to diverse audiences and tone requirements.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
