Healthcare Informatics Specialist

As a critical member of our IT support team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of Allied Health departments.

  • Plan, implement and coordinate IT projects to guarantee timely execution.
  • Act as an expert trainer for EPIC modules, providing comprehensive training to new users and handling change requests effectively.
  • Oversee the integration of internal and external systems, ensuring data security and compliance with regulations.

Your key responsibilities will include managing servers, workstations, printers and related IT infrastructure, as well as handling procurement and vendor management tasks.

  • Conduct regular IT audits and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in line with MOH and cluster directives.
  • Support the planning and execution of IT initiatives for our new campus.
  • Contribute to the strategic development of cloud-based solutions for long-term cost-effectiveness.
  • Provide AI-driven solutions to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and support informatics-related projects and cross-institutional system harmonisation.

To succeed in this role, you will need a degree in Computer Science/IT or healthcare-related studies, along with 5 years of experience or relevant qualifications in healthcare informatics systems. Prior experience with EPIC systems is highly advantageous.

  • Solid knowledge of cloud computing concepts, DICOM, HL7 standards, LAN/WAN & internet connectivity
  • Knowledge of budgeting and procurement processes
