Business Analytics Specialist

We operate three core businesses across digital entertainment, e-commerce, as well as digital payments and financial services, known as Garena, Shopee, and SeaMoney, respectively. Garena is a leading global online games developer and publisher. Shopee is the largest pan-regional e-commerce platform in Southeast Asia and Taiwan. SeaMoney is a leading digital payments and financial services provider in Southeast Asia.
Job DescriptionThe ideal candidate is a team player responsible for working with company data in various business areas. Key responsibilities include:
- Reporting metrics and analyzing methodologies to suggest operation improvements and build proposal evaluations in a cross-functional environment.
- Performing a bridging role between the finance and data team to create reporting frameworks for new product features in financial reports.
- Providing solutions for extracting relevant data and information to represent the financial reporting requirements accurately.
- Troubleshooting data-related issues through essential communication, walkthrough, and testing.
- Documenting process workflows and business logic.
- Managing stakeholders' needs, concerns, and problems regarding changes, enhancements, or fixes.
- Thinking strategically and analytically about business, product, and technical challenges.
- Ensuring reports are delivered on time with the highest level of accuracy.
Requirements include:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, and/or Business Analytics, or related disciplines.
- Experience in Data Governance/Data Security is preferred.
- Knowledge of SQL is a must; experience dealing with databases is an advantage.
- Robust data analytics and/or visualization skills, preferably with Python and/or Microsoft Power BI.
- Effective team player and passion to serve.
- Versatile and results-oriented in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and project management skills.
- Keen sense of ownership, drive, and determination.
- Dependability and a strong work ethic.
