Job Title: Senior Site Operations ManagerThe position of Senior Site Operations Manager is a senior role that requires overseeing site supervision and ensuring projects are executed to the required quality, accuracy, and standards.
  • Minimum Degree in Civil Engineering is a must for this role. A registered Resident Engineer certification by IES is highly valued.
  • At least 3 years of experience in Water pipeline project management is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Qualified Person (QP) in supervising works on site and preparing relevant inspection plans.
  • Conduct quality control of civil and structural, mechanical, electrical, and landscaping works.
  • Inspect temporary works, including instrumentation reports by the Contractor, and advise on compliance.
  • Support public relations activities.
  • Supervise day work records, including overall and part works programs.
  • Issue site memos to the Contractor for safety and quality non-compliance.
  • Attend project meetings and draft meeting minutes.
  • Perform site supervision and inspection, including off-site manufacturing/testing, as instructed by the QP(Supervision) and/or S.O.
  • Monitor progress, material supply, and report delays immediately.
  • Provide standing supervision in accordance with Building Control Regulations.
  • Maintain updated daily records of works done, including independent records of test, inspections, status of work, safety, site diary, material, equipment, labor, dayworks, provisional quantities, etc.
  • Verify reports and claims submitted by Contractors.
  • Record variations as instructed or approved by the S.O.
  • Undertake other duties related to the project as instructed by the S.O., Client, or QP(Supervision).
  • Check drawings, including as-built documents, and report discrepancies.
  • Report on site safety, security, and housekeeping.
  • Verify the Client's Permit To Works (CPTW) checklist completed by the Contractor.
  • Review the CPTW and keep records of relevant documents such as Authorities/Agencies approvals, services detection plan, etc. on site.
  • Ensure the Contractor rectifies any non-compliance identified by the CPTW prior to permitting works to commence.
  • Inform the S.O. or QP(Supervision) immediately if the Contractor proceeds with works without a valid CPTW.
