Job Title: Environmental Health and Safety Manager
This role is responsible for leading a team of professionals to ensure the effective implementation of environmental health and safety management systems within an organization.
Responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing effective EHS policies, procedures and guidelines;
- Providing leadership and guidance to EHS team members on their roles and responsibilities;
- Conducting regular audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement;
- Collaborating with other departments to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives;
- Staying up-to-date with regulatory requirements and industry best practices;
- Developing and delivering training programs to enhance EHS knowledge and skills;
- Monitoring and reporting on EHS performance metrics and trends;
The ideal candidate will have 5 years of experience in EHS management and hold relevant certifications such as WSQ Specialist Diploma in Workplace Safety and Health or Safety Officer Training Certificate. Experience in auditing, risk management and stakeholder engagement is also highly desirable.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety or related field;
- WSQ Specialist Diploma in Workplace Safety and Health or equivalent certification;
- Proven track record of success in EHS management, including experience in developing and implementing EHS policies, procedures and guidelines;
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills;
- Ability to analyze complex data and develop actionable recommendations;
- Experience in using EHS software and technology platforms.
