Automation Software Developer

The role of an Automation Software Developer involves the design, development and implementation of control systems to ensure smooth and efficient automation processes. This includes overseeing machine programming, HMI design, system troubleshooting and ongoing maintenance activities.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical diagrams and experience with automation machinery. They should be skilled in Ladder Diagram and Structured Text programming and have knowledge of C# and C++. A fast learner with the ability to quickly adapt to new technologies is essential for this role.

The Automation Software Developer will work closely with Mechanical and Electrical Engineers to analyze requirements and create documentation. They will also be responsible for carrying out automation and control implementation activities for plant modifications, preparing technical documentation and conducting customer training sessions.

The following skills and qualifications are required:
  • Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in machine control software and HMI programming, configuration and troubleshooting within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of electrical diagrams.
  • Experience with automation machinery.
  • Skilled in Ladder Diagram and Structured Text programming.
  • Knowledge of C# and C++.
  • Fast learner with the ability to quickly adapt to new technologies.
