Job Title: Quality Assurance Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality products by building robust testing frameworks, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving best practices in Quality Engineering.

The selected candidate will have strong technical expertise, hands-on experience in test automation, and thrive in fast-paced, agile environments such as start-ups or scale-ups.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain test strategies, frameworks, and plans covering both functional and non-functional testing.
  • Collaborate closely with product, design, and engineering teams to create and execute testing plans across the product lifecycle.
  • Drive and advocate best practices in Quality Engineering, including CI/CD pipelines, automation, and testing standards.
  • Take ownership of testing delivery from requirement analysis through to product release.
  • Identify risks, blind spots, and performance gaps while recommending corrective actions.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to the QA team, helping them adopt automation, BDD, and TDD approaches.
  • Gather feedback from users and stakeholders to continuously improve testing strategies and product reliability.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in Quality Engineering, preferably in cloud, SaaS, eCommerce, or internet-based environments.
  • Strong background in working with databases (SQL/NoSQL) and scripting languages like Python, JavaScript, etc.
  • Proven experience with automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Appium, Cucumber, Robot Framework, QTP, Silk, or Watir.
  • Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and experience in cross-functional teams practicing CI/CD.
  • Knowledge and application of Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD) and Test-Driven Development (TDD).
  • Ability to write simple test scripts or code to validate functionality.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or equivalent work experience.

  • Experience leading large-scale projects or products in collaboration with business, design, and technology teams.
  • Familiarity with automated deployment and release engineering processes.
  • Interest in or experience with the investment/finance domain.
