Position Summary

We are seeking a seasoned healthcare communications professional to join our Health team in Singapore. This role will be pivotal in managing public relations strategies and will encompass integrated communications efforts, collaborating with experts from creative, social/digital, production, research, and public affairs sectors. The Senior Manager will engage in strategic planning, client relationship management, team leadership, and collaboration, all while demonstrating a keen interest in the healthcare industry and scientific inquiry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate a strong interest in science and health, with a solid understanding of the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors.
  • Maintain awareness of regulatory guidelines governing healthcare communications.
  • Implement best practices in integrated marketing communications.
  • Comprehend clients' businesses, their missions, and key stakeholders, including consumers, employees, regulators, media, and advocacy groups.
  • Develop integrated communication proposals, plans, and presentations, showcasing writing excellence in all correspondence and materials.
  • Manage client relationships across various accounts, with knowledge of finance and budgeting.
  • Facilitate organic account growth by introducing clients to relevant Edelman capabilities.
  • Lead new business initiatives and contribute to the RFP response process.
  • Oversee multiple client relationships and projects, providing solutions and counsel while ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Establish strong media relationships within Singapore and the region.
  • Monitor project financials and achieve revenue targets.
  • Exhibit strong presentation skills and actively contribute to the health team.
  • Mentor and support team members, fostering their development through training and on-the-job experiences.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in communications or related fields, such as healthcare communications marketing, research, or management consulting.
  • Exceptional writing and verbal communication skills, with the ability to persuade and manage multiple assignments effectively.
  • Awareness of sector trends, particularly in Singapore and the broader Southeast Asia region.
  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field from an accredited institution.
