Clinical Duties
  • Carry out prescribed therapeutic exercises and activities as instructed by the therapist
  • Assist therapists in assessing clients' suitability for therapy sessions or continuing with therapy
  • Conduct routine assessments and outcome measures for clients as prescribed by therapists
  • Record therapy sessions according to template sets
  • Communicate information about therapy sessions to therapists
  • Educate clients and caregivers on therapeutic interventions as instructed by therapists
  • Manage and conduct therapy sessions independently for straightforward cases after discussion with therapists
  • Conduct basic or routine group therapy
  • Ensure proper use of equipment, including technological-assisted rehabilitation equipment
Administrative and Program-Related Duties
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety of therapy areas
  • Adhere to infection control procedures and ensure volunteers comply with procedures
  • Assist in setting up and carrying out trials of new equipment and projects
  • Provide support in training therapy assistants and senior therapy assistants
  • Participate in case discussions with the clinical team using a multidisciplinary approach
  • Participate in continuous professional development
