Job Description:

As a highly skilled backup and recovery specialist, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding critical business systems. Your expertise in developing and implementing effective backup strategies will ensure seamless data protection and compliance with regulatory requirements.

You will be responsible for managing and supporting backup operations across both physical and virtual environments, including configuring and administering large-scale storage platforms such as Dell EMC Isilon.

Your ability to design and implement data protection strategies will be essential in ensuring business continuity and minimizing downtime. Additionally, you will oversee media handling, rotation schedules, and compliance with audit requirements.

As a collaborative team member, you will work closely with application, infrastructure, and operations teams to align storage and recovery objectives. Your excellent problem-solving and communication skills will enable you to respond effectively to incidents and service requests.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Enterprise Backup and Recovery Technologies: Proven experience in designing and implementing backup and recovery strategies using Veeam Backup & Replication and Dell EMC Isilon.
  • Large-Scale Storage Platforms: Experience in administering and managing large-scale storage platforms.
  • Data Protection Strategies: Ability to design and implement data protection strategies that meet business requirements.
  • Media Lifecycle Management: Familiarity with handling media lifecycle management and compliance requirements.
  • Scripting and Automation: Proficient in scripting and task automation using tools such as PowerShell and command-line interfaces.
  • Disaster Recovery Planning: Knowledge of disaster recovery planning, including RPO and RTO considerations.
