Job Title: Performance Evaluation Expert

We are looking for a dynamic and motivated team member to support us in delivering better value and accountability for public spending and outcomes.

Our Performance and Evaluation (P&E) directorate is responsible for strengthening evaluation capabilities and structures, promoting effective performance reporting and monitoring, and nurturing good governance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Formulate and implement programme evaluation policies to advance strategic outcomes, cost-effectiveness, and resource sustainability in public sector spending.
  • Partner with public sector stakeholders to design evaluation and funding interventions for a diverse range of public organisations, programmes, and projects.
  • Scope and conduct programme and project evaluations to strengthen programme design and cost effectiveness.
  • Facilitate effective performance reporting and monitor governance-related issues across the public sector to enhance public accountability.

To be successful in this role, you will need a background in economics, data handling, finance/accounting, programme/project planning, performance reporting, and/or programme evaluation. You should also have strong analytical thinking skills to assess complex issues strategically, anticipate challenges, and recommend actionable solutions.

In addition, you will need to demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills to engage and maintain partnerships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels. Self-motivation, a positive attitude, and a strong work ethic are essential qualities for this role.
