Job Overview

We are seeking a talented and experienced Junior Sous Chef to join our kitchen team. As a key member of our culinary team, you will play a crucial role in assisting the Sous Chef and Head Chef in managing kitchen operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Sous Chef and Head Chef in planning menus, developing recipes, and selecting ingredients.
  • Possess strong knowledge of Italian cuisine, cooking techniques, and food safety practices.
  • Supervise and train junior kitchen staff, providing guidance and feedback to foster skill development.
  • Oversee kitchen operations during shifts, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standard.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to all food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering and stock control as needed.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Cook or Chef, preferably in an Italian restaurant.
  • Formal culinary training or relevant culinary certifications is a plus.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Creative and passionate about food with a strong attention to detail.
