Key Job Summary: This is a role that involves leading the development and optimization of high-performance pricing and risk computation services for use in front-office trading operations. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in delivering trading or risk solutions using Java, with strong understanding of multi-threaded and event-driven programming paradigms. They will also be proficient in working directly with end-users in trading or quant teams, and familiar with building real-time systems and low-latency messaging infrastructure.

  • Develop and optimize high-performance pricing and risk computation services
  • Collaborate with traders, sales, and quantitative developers to translate complex model requirements into scalable engineering solutions
  • Work with platform and infrastructure teams to integrate pricing outputs into electronic distribution channels
  • Ensure code quality through robust unit and regression testing frameworks integrated into CI/CD pipelines
  • Mentor peers and contribute to architectural planning, with a focus on performance, security, and operational reliability
  • Manage concurrent development streams in a fast-paced Agile environment

Essential Skills and Qualifications: To be considered for this role, candidates must have at least 8 years' experience in a similar front-office engineering position delivering trading or risk solutions. They should be proficient in Core Java (JDK 11+), with strong understanding of multi-threaded and event-driven programming paradigms. Experience working directly with end-users in trading or quant teams is also essential. Additionally, familiarity with building real-time systems and low-latency messaging infrastructure is required. Solid understanding of automated testing frameworks and DevOps practices is also necessary.
