We are seeking a skilled Java developer to partner with us in creating efficient Front Office Trading Systems.

About the Role
  • This position involves designing, developing, and optimising Java applications for electronic FX trading, encompassing pricing, execution, and risk management components.
  • The ideal candidate will ensure low-latency, high-throughput performance in real-time trading environments.
  • Collaboration with quants, traders, and product teams is essential in translating trading strategies and workflows into scalable technical solutions.
  • Contributions to platform reliability and SRE practices, including monitoring, automation, performance tuning, and incident response, are also required.
  • Supporting CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and peer code reviews will be an important part of this role.
  • Engagement in architecture and design discussions will help shape the evolution of front office trading systems.
Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is necessary.
  • 6+ years of hands-on Java development experience, with strong knowledge of multi-threading, concurrency, data structures, and performance optimisation is essential.
  • A proven track record of building low-latency trading systems (FX preferred, but other asset classes considered) is crucial.
  • Familiarity with front office environments within global markets is also required.
  • Experience or strong interest in SRE/DevOps practices: observability, incident response, automation, and system reliability is necessary.
  • Additional exposure to Python, KDB, or JavaScript is beneficial.
  • Strong analytical skills, problem-solving ability, and comfort working in fast-paced, business-critical environments are vital.
