Job Title: Tech Support Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity to work directly in the health services sector as a Tech Support Specialist. Your technical expertise will be instrumental in providing support for application-related issues and maintaining system stability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Support: Provide prompt assistance for application-related issues, perform daily service health monitoring, server maintenance, and resiliency improvements
  • System Development: Deliver new capabilities and improve existing ones in systems monitoring, recovery, and stability aspects of the system
  • Service Operations: Assist in regular server maintenance, system access, systems monitoring, backups, patching, and daily health checks
  • Documentation: Maintain service operations documentation and guides, developing supporting materials for all Service Operation activities
  • Monitoring and Analysis: Monitor service level dashboards, perform daily health monitoring, system capacity review, and allocate adequate capacity
  • Defect Fixes and Resiliency: Identify and resolve defects, implement resiliency-related improvements
  • Training and Support: Assist in training new staff and customers on the technical aspects of the system and its functionalities
  • Issue Investigation: Participate in investigating user-reported issues, collaborating with internal teams to resolve problems efficiently
  • Scripting and Automation: Utilize complex SQL and automation scripts to develop mitigating and preventive solutions

Requirements:

  • Educational Background: Diploma/Bachelor's degree in computer science or a highly technical discipline
  • Technical Experience: 2-4 years of technical/application support experience across multiple technology platforms
  • Certifications and Skills: ITIL v3/v4 certification and strong service-oriented experience/background preferred; solid SQL scripting experience required
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the IT industry environment and business needs
  • Application Support: Proven experience supporting web/mobile/client-based applications
