The School of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) at NTU aspires to be a leading school for Sustainable Urban Systems. With over 50 faculty members and more than 1,500 students, CEE is rapidly expanding its range of educational and research activities. Our faculty has led major university-wide strategic research thrusts in space creation, water research, and sustainable built environment. Moving forward, CEE is addressing critical problems in urban systems such as building structures and energy systems, sustainability of urban cities, and resiliency to natural and unnatural risks.
Job DescriptionWe invite applications for an Assistant Professor (Tenure-Track) position in Geotechnical Engineering at NTU Singapore. The successful candidate will possess a PhD in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering with strong interdisciplinary expertise in areas such as:
- Soil mechanics
- Underground construction
- Soil improvement
- Instrumentation and monitoring
- Numerical analysis
- Geoenvironmental engineering
- Latest technologies such as AI, digitalization, data analytics, zero carbon, and emerging geomaterials
Candidates should be competent to teach first- and second-year undergraduate basic courses for Civil Engineering, such as Mechanics of Materials, Fluid Mechanics, Computing, and Mathematics. Strong teaching ability and communication skills are essential. Industry experience will be an added advantage.
