About Our Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Compliance Specialist to join our team. As a Risk Compliance Specialist, you will be responsible for reviewing and approving the onboarding of high-risk customers.
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:
- Reviewing customer information to ensure compliance with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know-Your-Customer (KYC) regulations.
- Providing AML and KYC advisory services for name screening, KYC documentation, and onboarding-related issues or red flags escalated by frontline staff.
- Obtaining approval from senior management to establish or continue business relationships with high-risk rated customers.
- Overseeing ongoing monitoring of account relationships.
- Maintaining and updating the local internal blacklist in the AML system, ensuring the bank has adequate arrangements to perform AML screenings on its customer database.
- Participating in system implementation and user acceptance testing (UAT), system enhancements, identifying system gaps, and evaluating system capabilities and functionalities to enhance control effectiveness and efficiency, including exploring automation using artificial intelligence (AI), robotic process automation (RPA), and advanced data analytics (DA) models.
We Are Looking For Someone With:
- A recognized university degree or relevant professional qualifications in financial services or audit.
- 3-5 years of experience in AML compliance within banking, digital assets, or relevant fields.
- Familiarity with payments and cryptocurrency AML and sanctions programs.
- Knowledge of Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) regulations related to money laundering and terrorist financing.
- Interest in digital payment tokens and/or digital payment token service providers.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to criticism and take proactive measures.
- Independent, resourceful, and embodying teamwork.
