About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Artist to join our team. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking assigned dishes to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook assigned dishes for serving according to the menu:
• Develop new recipes and menus that showcase your creativity and flair for cuisine
• Ensure all dishes meet high standards of quality, presentation and taste
Maintain high standards of kitchen hygiene and sanitation at all times:
• Implement effective systems for inventory management, ordering supplies and controlling waste
• Collaborate with other team members to maintain a clean, safe and organized workspace
Process all food according to company and government regulatory controls:
• Stay up-to-date with the latest food safety guidelines and regulations
• Participate in regular food safety audits and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
Fully utilize skills and knowledge in cooking techniques, ingredients and presentation:
• Continuously develop your skills and knowledge in various cooking techniques and cuisines
• Work with suppliers to source high-quality ingredients and innovative products
Assist in maintaining inventory levels and ordering supplies as required:
• Conduct regular inventory checks to ensure accurate stock levels and minimize waste
• Liaise with suppliers to negotiate prices and delivery schedules
Participate in menu planning and development to ensure new and exciting dishes are introduced regularly:
• Research and stay up-to-date with the latest culinary trends and innovations
• Collaborate with other team members to create new menu ideas and concepts
Work effectively as part of a team to achieve common goals and objectives:
• Foster strong relationships with colleagues, suppliers and customers
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
