Immunology and aging research are crucial for understanding human diseases and developing effective treatments.
We are seeking a highly motivated Research Fellow or Senior Research Fellow to join our team in the BatLab.
The successful candidate will be part of a research group led by an Assistant Professor who is a pioneer in bat immunology.
The projects focus on bat-inspired targets to fight human diseases and ageing, with multiple national and international collaborations.
The key responsibilities include:
- Performing tasks and supporting all aspects of the research project
- Conducting accurate monitoring, documenting and reporting of experimental results and/or research findings
- Assisting researchers in programming, data analysis and literature review in various research projects
- Evaluating and interpreting collected data and preparing oral presentations or written reports/scientific manuscripts/literature for publication
Additionally, the role involves contributing to project management, presentations and publications of research work, including supervision of students and occasional laboratory demonstrations where applicable.
The ideal candidate should have a PhD degree in Life Sciences, Biology, Biotechnology or related field, with at least 2 years of relevant experience in cell culture, molecular and animal experiments.
Prior working experience in the areas of immunology or aging is preferred but not compulsory for those with good academic and research track record.
Demonstrated good knowledge, skills and expertise in supporting various research activities, as well as effective organizational and interpersonal communications with excellent written, oral communication and computer skills.
A team player who is able to prioritize, multi-task and work collaboratively in a diverse workforce.
