Research Scientist Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and competent postdoctoral research scientist to work on a funded project focused on in situ T cell engineering by delivering mRNA into the spleen.

This research aims to enhance the body's ability to generate a strong and precise immune response, given the crucial role of the spleen in kickstarting the immune system.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team, as well as collaborators in Singapore and overseas

Key Objectives:
  • Designing synthetic nanoparticles for mRNA delivery
  • Rationalizing the design of nanoparticles for selective spleen delivery of mRNA
  • Enhancing mRNA translation efficiency in T cells
  • Improving the survival and activity of engineered T cells
Responsibilities:
  • Planning and execution of experiments
  • Collecting and analyzing research data
  • Guiding and working with junior staff members, including graduate/undergraduate students
  • Participating in the preparation of manuscripts and other reports
  • Upholding research integrity and ensuring safety compliance
Qualifications:

We require a Ph.D. degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Cancer Biology, or a related field.

  • Effective oral and written management communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivation, organization, meticulousness, efficiency, and flexibility are desirable attributes. Preferred candidates should have at least 3 years of research experience in molecular and cell biology techniques (T cells) and expertise in mRNA handling and delivery.
