Job Title: Enterprise Network Strategist

This role encompasses the management and evolution of our organization's network systems, focusing on infrastructure planning, implementation, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Infrastructure Development
    • Plan, implement, and maintain network services across production, test, and backup environments.
    • Develop lifecycle strategies for network equipment, ensuring components remain current, secure, and supportable.
  • Operational Continuity & Resilience
    • Establish robust disaster recovery strategies and business continuity processes focused on network infrastructure.
    • Conduct regular failover and recovery drills to validate standby systems and fail-safe mechanisms.
  • Issue Resolution & Support
    • Provide expert-level troubleshooting for network-related incidents and ensure resolution within defined service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Security & Compliance Oversight
    • Apply network hardening best practices, including patching, firewall rule management, and intrusion prevention techniques.
  • Capacity & Network Optimization
    • Monitor bandwidth usage and hardware performance; optimize configurations to meet evolving business demands.
  • Team & Process Leadership
    • Supervise and mentor a team of network engineers, setting clear objectives and ensuring timely delivery of responsibilities.
  • Configuration & Asset Control
    • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date inventory of network systems and documentation for audits and upgrades.
  • Deployment & Change Governance
    • Coordinate the rollout of infrastructure upgrades and changes, adhering to structured change control frameworks.
  • Project Participation
    • Partner with internal teams and external vendors to deliver infrastructure components for IT and business-led projects.
  • Documentation & Reporting
    • Author technical documentation, SOPs, and network diagrams to support operational transparency and continuity.
  • Infrastructure Maintenance & Operations
    • Administer and maintain complex, multi-environment network systems, including routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and other security infrastructure.
  • Business Continuity & Network Resilience
    • Execute and validate scheduled network configuration backups and data protection measures.
  • Technical Project Involvement
    • Serve as a technical lead or contributor for infrastructure-focused initiatives, ensuring timely deployment of networking solutions aligned with business goals.
  • Incident & Fault Management
    • Act as a second-level escalation point for network issues, ensuring troubleshooting is completed promptly and effectively within SLA parameters.
  • Change Control & Deployment Oversight
    • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to plan and deploy network changes with minimal impact to service.
  • Configuration Management & Asset Tracking
    • Maintain an accurate, centralized record of hardware and software configurations across the network landscape.
  • Capacity Planning & Performance Tuning
    • Continuously monitor usage metrics and network health to identify capacity constraints and performance issues.
