Job Title: Network Infrastructure Specialist
Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Network Infrastructure Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our wired and wireless network infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Installing, configuring, upgrading, and administering Alcatel Lucent wired and wireless network APs, controllers, and management modules
- Managing and administering Peplinks, Radware Network Load Balancers, HP Aruba ClearPass 802.1x authentications
- Performing network troubleshooting, issue identification, and resolution, firmware patching, bug fixes, and upgrades of network devices
- Conducting regular network performance monitoring to identify potential issues
- Documenting and maintaining all network configurations, setups, inventory, and SOPs
- Working closely with and providing technical support to other IT teams as required
The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of IT Infrastructure and Operations to implement and execute disaster recovery procedures and manage vendor-managed services ensuring SLAs are met according to contracts.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo be considered for this role, you will need to have:
- A minimum of an Advance Diploma or University degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or equivalent
- Relevant experience of 2-4 years in managing and supporting onsite wired and wireless networks in a corporate environment
- Certifications such as CCNA or Alcatel Lucent Certified Network Specialist
You will also require strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF) and network architecture principles, experience with network configuration in virtualized infrastructure and monitoring tools, and knowledge of cloud network concepts and technologies like Azure and AWS.
