Child Development Coordinator

This is a unique opportunity to make a difference in the lives of vulnerable children and families by working as a Child Development Coordinator. The role requires a dedicated individual who can provide holistic support and care to children in need.

About the Role:
  • Resident Support
  • Collaborate with Case Executives to manage dormitory units, plan engaging activities, conduct regular meetings with residents, and gather feedback.
  • Manage residents according to individualised care plans, meet their educational needs, guide them through challenging experiences, and build resilience with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ensure residents' safety, health, and good behaviour within the Home and during outings, monitor attendance, adherence to Home structures, and prevent risky behaviour.
  • Report any concerns or incidents to the Case Executive, encourage and reward good behaviour, prevent and discipline misbehaviour in accordance with Home's rules.
  • Youth Empowerment
  • Develop youth into well-adjusted and contributing members of society through interventions and programs, support Case Executives with home visits and service coordination for families.
  • Assess youth needs through feedback from multiple stakeholders, engage youths through interest-based activities, deliver group support, and assist in formulating Individual Care Plans.
  • Maintain accurate records of services rendered in accordance with organisational policies and regulatory requirements.

  • Experience & Skills
  • A background in child-centred environments, vigilance in managing groups of children, flexibility in decision-making, empathy with firmness in discipline, collaborative teamwork.
  • Personal Qualities & Traits
  • Passion and patience for working with children, ability to work independently, pleasant disposition, effective communication skills, strong moral fibre.
