We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Drafter to support our Valve Automation team.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will have experience creating detailed 2D and 3D drawings for valve assemblies, actuator mounting kits, and custom automation solutions. This role is critical in ensuring precise engineering documentation and effective collaboration with our production and service teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare detailed 2D and 3D mechanical drawings for valves, actuators, mounting brackets, and accessories.
  • Create General Arrangement (GA), fabrication, and assembly drawings.
  • Modify and revise drawings based on engineering changes and client requirements.
  • Coordinate with the design, production, and service teams to ensure drawings align with actual installation practices.
  • Maintain drawing records, part lists, and revision histories.
  • Interpret and work from P&IDs, mechanical specifications, and technical data sheets.
  • Assist in standardizing drawing templates.
  • Support reverse engineering of existing systems when documentation is missing.
Required Skills and Qualifications

We require an ITE or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, minimum 2 years of experience as a mechanical drafter, proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent 3D design tools, strong understanding of mechanical components, fits, tolerances, and materials, ability to read and interpret P&IDs and engineering drawings, good communication and teamwork skills, attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with valve types, actuators (pneumatic/electric), and instrumentation, experience in ERP-based BOM generation or product lifecycle management, knowledge of industry standards such as ASME, API, or ISO.
