Biological Sample Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Biological Sample Specialist to join our team.

  • Job Summary:
  • This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented professional to manage the logistics of biological samples between clinics, laboratories, and collaborators. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, be able to maintain accurate records, and possess a strong understanding of laboratory practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Sample Management:
  • Receive, process, and store biological samples from various sources.
  • Maintain accurate records of sample inventory, including tracking information and chain of custody.
  • Coordinate with clinics, laboratories, and collaborators to ensure smooth sample transportation and processing.

Quality Assurance:

  • Implement Quality Control Procedures:
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure the integrity of biological samples.
  • Monitor and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work with Interdisciplinary Teams:
  • Collaborate with clinicians, researchers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective sample management and communication.
  • Excellent Communication Skills:
  • Effectively communicate with team members, clinicians, and other stakeholders to coordinate sample logistics and address any issues that may arise.

Education and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a Relevant Field:
  • A bachelor's degree in biology, biochemistry, or a related field is required.
  • Laboratory Experience:
  • At least 2 years of experience working in a laboratory setting, preferably in sample management or a related field.
