Job Title: Production Operations Manager

A seasoned professional is sought to oversee CNC machining operations, ensuring quality and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing engineering and experience leading cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage CNC machine operation to meet production targets
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams for troubleshooting and improvement initiatives
  • Lead CNC machinists to achieve cycle time goals and productivity targets
  • Drive continuous improvement of processes and equipment
  • Coordinate material handling and prepare billets according to production schedules
  • Assign daily machining tasks based on job schedules
  • Promote 5S practices and safe working procedures within the CNC cell
  • Mentor CNC machinists to enhance job competency
  • Ensure adherence to CNC work instructions and safety protocols
  • Support urgent production needs through flexible scheduling
  • Monitor and maintain visual production tracking via heartbeat boards
  • Collaborate with engineering on FA machining and CNC program validation
Requirements:
  • Diploma or degree in manufacturing engineering or related field
  • At least three years' experience in similar production role
  • Proficient in CNC turning and milling operations
  • Knowledge of CNC machining, including rubber press moulding and metal/plastic operations
  • Programming skills in Fanuc and Mastercam
  • Experience in automation and robotic integration within machining processes
  • Familiarity with production flow control and machining methods for metals and engineering plastics
  • Strong leadership and team-oriented mindset
