Senior Crewing Executive Role

The role of a Senior Crewing Executive involves leading and supervising team members, allocating work, monitoring workloads and quality of work.

  • Lead, supervise and evaluate team members by allocating work, monitoring workloads and quality of work.
  • Source new seafarers and arrange interviews with senior officers and department heads.
  • Contact ex-seafarers for redeployment opportunities.
  • Verify seafarer certificates and medical check-ups as per charterer requirements.
  • Authenticate seafarer certificates with relevant authorities and apply for Flag State licenses.
  • Maintain up-to-date seafarer personnel files and monitor certificate expirations.
  • Update crew planning and rotation lists and crew rosters.
  • Ensure efficient and cost-effective crew changes.
  • Conduct and document crew appraisal assessments.
  • Coordinate with crew agents and port agents for joining and repatriation.
  • Extend entry passes and ship landing permits with Immigration Authorities.
  • Declare immigration clearances and outward port clearances.
  • Update crew articles and sign on/off via Maritime Portal.
  • Apply for visas where necessary.
  • Update crew records and certifications in the crew management system.
Required Qualifications and Skills

To succeed as a Senior Crewing Executive, you will need to possess certain qualifications and skills.

  • Degree in Maritime-related fields or equivalent with at least 5 years of crew management experience.
  • Leadership and interpersonal skills with ability to lead teams.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Collaborative team player with autonomous work capabilities.
  • Organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities.
  • Offshore or marine industry experience is advantageous.
  • Ability to work overtime when required.
