Subvention and Pricing Expert

This is a unique opportunity to join our team as a Subvention and Pricing Expert. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the financial sustainability of our organization.

About the Role:
  • You will be responsible for preparing accurate and timely reports to identify opportunities to enhance financial sustainability.
  • You will support subvention operationalisation and provide financial analytics support for dashboards and reports.
  • You will collaborate with stakeholders to cost services and ensure all relevant costs are captured in the costing of patient-related services.
  • You will lead stakeholder engagement in cost-benefit analysis for patient billing services and develop business cases for new initiatives and process improvements.
  • You will regularly review market competitiveness of fees and assist in negotiation of patient billing rates in service level agreements.
  • You will deliver financial analytics support as and when required.
  • You will serve as a business partner to SCH departments, providing financial expertise and guidance.
  • You will prepare and maintain standardised policies and procedures across all SCH Community Hospitals.
  • You will take ownership of the costing system.
  • You will ensure all Key Performance Indicator targets for the Finance Subvention and Pricing Unit on the Balanced Scorecard are met.
  • You will support the preparation of annual work plan and budget for the team.
  • You will drive continuous improvements in subvention and pricing processes.
  • You will collaborate on cross-departmental projects that impact subvention and pricing operations and undertake special projects as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements:
  • You should have a Degree in Accounting.
  • A professional accounting qualification (CA, ACCA) is preferred.
  • You should have 4-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Prior experience in a Healthcare setting is preferred.
  • You should be able to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • You should be proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
