Job Title: Purchasing Professional
About this Role:- We are seeking a skilled Purchasing Professional to identify and establish relationships with suppliers, contractors, consultants, and designers to discuss new business opportunities.
- This role involves developing and preparing tender submissions, managing progress claims, and verifying accounts.
- The successful candidate will negotiate prices with suppliers and contractors, including awarding sub-contract agreements.
- Assisting in defining client requirements and undertaking feasibility studies is also a key aspect of this position.
- Liaising with consultants, quantity surveyors, architects, developers, and contractors on certification of claims for payments is an essential responsibility.
- This role requires tracking changes to the design and/or construction work and adjusting budget projections accordingly.
- Evaluating and certifying subcontractors' progress payments is a critical function of this position.
- Negotiate with suppliers and contractors to secure the best possible prices.
- Develop and prepare tender submissions to ensure timely completion.
- Manage progress claims and verify accounts to prevent errors.
- Liaise with stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
- Degree in a relevant field such as procurement, supply chain management, or business administration.
- Proven experience in purchasing or procurement roles.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
