Job Description:

As a Residential Care Associate, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and support to children and young people in our residential settings. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the smooth running of the home, creating a safe, healthy, and therapeutic environment for all residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide supervision and caregiving for the physical and psychological needs of the children and young people (CYPs) under your care.
  • Ensure the home runs smoothly by maintaining a clean, safe, and healthy living environment.
  • Encourage and support residents to attend school regularly.
  • Adopt a trauma-informed care approach by rewarding good behavior and addressing misbehavior promptly.
  • Monitor and report any concerns or issues to the management team.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you will need:
  • Diploma in any discipline
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience (fresh graduates may also be considered)
  • Experience working or volunteering with children and youth groups is highly desirable
  • Able to interact positively with children and youths and enforce discipline in a fair and respectful manner
  • Empathy, patience, and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations
  • The ability to work well with others
  • Good communication skills to interact with a diverse group of residents
  • Good teamwork and initiative
  • Ability to work independently
