Job Title: Elite Athlete Development Lead

Description

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled National Coach to lead our team of coaches in planning and implementing training and competition plans for elite athletes. The successful candidate will possess strong technical expertise, mentorship skills, and the ability to work effectively with a team.

  • Create and implement training and competition plans that align with the Federation's goals and objectives.
  • Provide technical expertise and mentorship to a team of coaches, guiding them towards growth and development.
  • Work closely with the Technical Team and coaches to identify and recruit suitable athletes, and develop them towards national team representation.
  • Collaborate with Sport Singapore (SportSG), Singapore Sport Institute (SSI), and National Youth Sports Institute (NYSI) to plan and deliver development and performance support services.
  • Communicate effectively with athletes, coaches, and stakeholders to ensure the achievement of the Federation's goals.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Competitive Coaching Experience: At least 5 years of experience coaching elite and developmental youth athletes, with a strong working knowledge in all categories.
  • Coaching Qualification: Preferably holds an internationally recognised high-level coaching qualification.
  • Certification: Possesses at least SG-Coach Level 1 (Full) certification or equivalent, and is registered with the National Registry of Coaches (NROC).
  • Leadership and Management: Proven ability to lead and manage a team of coaches.
  • Sports Science: Good understanding of sports science principles, particularly long-term athlete development.
  • Values and Character Development: Competent in values inculcation and character development for athletes.
  • Planning and Administration: Excellent planning, administrative, and organisational skills.
  • Communication: Able to communicate effectively in English with athletes and stakeholders.
