We are seeking a seasoned sustainability professional to join our organization as a Green Building Consultant. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert guidance on sustainable building practices and strategies to clients. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team and contribute to the growth of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Client Consultation: Collaborate with clients to understand their sustainability goals and objectives, and provide expert advice on green building practices and strategies.
  • Certification Guidance: Assist clients in obtaining green building certifications such as LEED or other regional certifications, ensuring compliance with all requirements.
  • Energy Efficiency: Evaluate building designs and recommend energy-efficient solutions, advising on renewable energy sources, HVAC systems, insulation, and lighting to minimize energy consumption and maximize efficiency.
  • Sustainable Materials: Research and recommend eco-friendly building materials and construction methods, providing guidance on sourcing sustainable materials that meet environmental standards.
  • Environmental Assessments: Conduct environmental assessments of building sites to identify opportunities for sustainable design, including site selection, water conservation, and landscaping practices.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed about green building regulations, codes, and standards, ensuring that building projects meet or exceed local and national environmental requirements.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with architects, engineers, and construction teams to integrate green building principles into project designs and plans, providing ongoing support and advice during the construction phase.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Education: Post-diploma or bachelor's degree in architecture, Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, or related field.
  • Certification: Professional certification such as LEED AP/ WELL AP/ GMAP/ GMAAP is highly desirable.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of working experience in green building consulting or related roles.
  • Skills: In-depth knowledge of green building certifications, energy modelling software, and sustainable construction materials, strong communication and presentation skills, ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment, excellent project management skills and attention to detail.
