The position of Project Officer is available at a reputable organization.
The project focuses on enhancing hydrogen embrittlement resistance in nickel alloys. Researchers will employ TEM, XRD, and EBSD techniques to study microstructures.
The successful candidate will lead the project, which aims to improve hydrogen embrittlement resistance by optimizing microstructures.
This role involves studying hydrogen embrittlement of nickel-based alloys produced through different manufacturing methods.
The Project Officer will also support research in crystal orientation control using laser metal deposition for enhanced hydrogen embrittlement resistance.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct research projects with the team to ensure deliverables are met.
- Prepare TEM specimens and conduct failure analysis to correlate hydrogen response with microstructures.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and supplies, including procurement and liaison with suppliers.
- Assist in producing high-quality reports and documents that consolidate research findings.
- Bachelor's degree in Materials Science and Engineering.
- At least 1 year of relevant experience in a similar role or technical hands-on experience in the required scope.
- Familiarity with national codes and standards.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Good interpersonal skills.
