About this role

We are seeking a skilled Cell Culture Development Specialist to join our team and contribute to the development of processes for novel therapeutic recombinant proteins.

Your key responsibilities will include executing mammalian cell line and upstream process development activities, providing technical expertise for troubleshooting, and working with the latest equipment and technologies.

This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a site and global project team to ensure timely delivery of project workstages.

You will be responsible for delivering high-quality communication to ensure an outstanding customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform hands-on laboratory work in cell line and upstream process development, contributing to process development suitable for technology transfer to cGMP manufacturing teams.
  • Contribute to process validation/characterisation activities by performing supporting laboratory-scale studies.
  • Interpret analytical data provided by the analytical team to define subsequent steps.
Requirements:
  • Degree or diploma in a relevant Science field or equivalent.
  • Practical laboratory experience in cell culture and laboratory-scale bioreactor runs.
  • Experience in culture conditions for mammalian suspension cells is beneficial.
  • Understanding of recombinant protein expression using mammalian cell culture systems.
  • Understanding of cGMP regulations.
