Drive Revenue Growth and Expand Rail Transit Presence

We are seeking an experienced business development professional to drive revenue growth and expand our presence in the rail transit system. The successful candidate will identify opportunities, manage revenue, and related costs to achieve positive financial results.

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive business strategy to position the company as the preferred partner in the supply and provision of products and services in rail transit systems;
  • Lead civil and structural engineering functions to ensure operational readiness, maintenance, and compliance of rail infrastructure assets within the network;
Key Responsibilities:
  • Achieve budget targets by identifying, developing, and implementing business growth opportunities and sourcing partners to support business growth within Singapore and beyond;
  • Forecast and manage budget/cost and expenses to meet expected revenue and profitability for the assigned cost centre;
  • Review commercial/contract requirements, prepare tender/bid submission, seek approval from management, and participate in tender/bidding evaluation or negotiation together with technical teams from internal departments and sub-contractors;
  • Work with finance, legal, and other counterparts to perform financial and business analysis, including risk assessment, to achieve organic business growth or via merger and acquisition;
  • Project execution, monitoring, and cost control management for secured projects of the assigned cost centre that are completed according to expected time and schedule as per contract, managed efficiently and effectively, and managed profitability within approved budget;
  • Recommend or approve sub-contractors' payment request, account receivable, and closing projects accounts with clients together with finance department; Work with partners to ensure project deliverables and KPIs are met;
  • Approve operation expenses within authorised limits as per financial policy manual and procurement and purchase manual;
  • Involve in strategic business development planning and take decisions on day-to-day operations;
  • Work with administrative team to provide oversight on billing status and processes for projects under your charge.
Requirements
  • Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering;
  • Minimum 8 to 10 years' total experience in engineering, business development, project management, and related fields;
  • Strong understanding of civil/structural asset management, maintenance, and regulatory compliance in the transport or public infrastructure sector;
  • Experience in transportation and start-ups is advantageous.
Desirable Skills
  • Problem structuring and strategic problem-solving skills;
  • Good written and oral communication skills;
  • Microsoft Office;
  • Knowledge of AI software is advantageous;
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work cross-functionally;
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects;
