About the role
VSTECS is seeking a talented software developer to join our team in Singapore.

As a full-time software engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining robust database systems, ensuring the seamless operation of business-critical applications.

You will design, implement and optimise database solutions to support various software applications, collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and address complex business requirements, develop and maintain efficient SQL queries, stored procedures, and other database objects, perform database performance tuning, troubleshooting and issue resolution, participate in the planning and implementation of database migrations, upgrades and backups, and contribute to the continuous improvement of database architecture and development processes.

What we're looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Software Engineer or Database Developer
  • Proficiency in SQL, database design and optimisation techniques
  • Familiarity with database management systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL or Microsoft SQL Server
  • Experience with agile software development methodologies
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
