The Stamford American International School is seeking a highly qualified school counsellor to join our multi-disciplinary Student Support Division team. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with colleagues to foster students' academic achievement and social-emotional wellbeing.

  • This position involves implementing a comprehensive school counselling program using the Multi-Tiered System of Supports model, with a focus on student advocacy and support.">
  • Applicants must possess a minimum of 3 years of experience working in schools as a school counsellor, social worker or psychologist.">
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills are essential, as is the ability to build strong relationships and create a safe, supported and valued learning environment.">
  • Proficiency in English language is required, with the ability to communicate effectively with students, parents and colleagues.">

Requirements:

Applicants should have an advanced degree in School Counseling, Social Work, Counselling Psychology or related field. Previous training and/or certification in school counseling, school-based social work or psychology is also desirable.

Knowledge of child protection and safeguarding issues, as well as experience providing school counselling support within an MTSS Model, would be advantageous.
