At PASONA SINGAPORE PTE. LTD., we are seeking a skilled Technical Support Specialist to join our team.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced technical professional to provide exceptional support to our customers in the semiconductor industry. As a Technical Support Specialist, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing systems at customer sites, installing new test systems and software upgrades, and working on projects such as creating manuals and SOPs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshooting and Repairing Systems: Utilize your technical expertise to diagnose and resolve complex issues with customer systems.
  • Installation of New Test Systems and Software Upgrades: Collaborate with customers to install new test systems and software upgrades, ensuring seamless integration and minimal downtime.
  • Project Work: Contribute to various projects, including the creation of technical documentation and SOPs, to enhance customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Requirements
  • Diploma or Degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, or a Related Field: Possess a strong foundation in electronics, mechatronics, or a related field, with a focus on technical problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Japanese (Written and Spoken): Effectively communicate with counterparts in Japan during weekly meetings, training, or troubleshooting, demonstrating a high level of proficiency in both written and spoken Japanese.
  • Intermediate Skills in Microsoft Excel and Word: Showcase intermediate-level skills in Microsoft Excel and Word, with the ability to create technical documents and reports efficiently.
  • Strong Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a team-oriented mindset and the ability to work effectively with customers and colleagues.
  • Willingness to Travel Frequently: Be prepared to travel frequently overseas on short notice, adapting to different time zones and work environments.
  • Flexibility to Work Overtime or on Public Holidays: Show a willingness to work overtime or on public holidays if necessary, prioritizing customer needs and business requirements.
  • Proactive Attitude towards Acquiring Technical Knowledge: Maintain a proactive attitude towards acquiring technical knowledge relevant to the role, staying up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
  • Prior Experience in Customer Support: Bring prior experience in a customer support role, with a focus on technical issue resolution and customer satisfaction.
  • Over 5 Years of Experience in the Semiconductor Industry: Possess over 5 years of experience in the semiconductor industry, with a deep understanding of industry-specific technologies and challenges.
  • Familiarity with Lasers, Oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analyzers, or Similar Instruments: Demonstrate familiarity with lasers, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, or similar instruments, showcasing technical expertise and hands-on experience.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary package, estimated to be around SGD $4,000 - SGD $4,500 per month, depending on experience.
